Wedding tips: For the day!

Ah hello gems! Welcome back to a wedding tip blog and one of the key items is the DAY OF! The day you have been planning comes quick but it also passes in a blur. Here are some tips to make sure you are fully present and enjoying it to the fullest:

1. Prioritize your partner: From the moment you are together, and throughout the reception, ensure to focus on time with your partner. A lot of people are there to celebrate you but don't get distracted taking shots or photos with friends when the truly important item is making memories together. You want to look back and have a similar recollection of the day's events, especially that you were side by side. This was a tip we were given a few months prior to the wedding and it was so true!

2. Something will go wrong, accept that: Something will go wrong inevitably, no matter how much planning you do you cannot control all items and that is something that is better to anticipate rather than trying to avoid. Big or small, the unavoidable happens and let the day go by with a smile on your face knowing nothing can truly take away from the magic.

3, Limit drinking: We all love to have a good time but your wedding is not the time to over drink and feel sick. Guests mean well and want to cheers you, bring you drinks, etc. but you can politely turn them down or sip slowly. It's a marathon not a sprint!

4. One person for issues: My sister gave me the GREATEST tip prior to my wedding: If something goes wrong you do not need to tell many people but only flag it to one person and have them handle it. If you advise many and point out something that may have gone off plan, you are making it known to the whole wedding when no one would have likely noticed.

5, Take a minute to take it in: We made a point to have a moment alone each time we sat at our sweetheart table, every time we sat down, we made sure to remind each other to take in the room, the people, the energy, etc. and absorb it. These people were never going to be together again in one room, here to celebrate your love and your new marriage.

At the end of the day, ensure to focus on your partner, your love and celebrating all that you are bringing together.
