How to Survive University
Hey there my busy bees!
Life has some hectic moments, and although I've loved school all my life, university has definitely been a tough three years. There's been a mix of perfect and hectic times but through it all I learned so much.
Here are some tips to staying ahead and surviving the three-four years of university you might be in!
1. Lists
The best thing to do to keep up with assignments, part time jobs, exams, and readings is to make lists. It sounds a little redundant maybe, but being able to see what you have to do, in what order and when it is all due, is extremely helpful.
2. Everyone is in the same boat
I know this sounds a little obvious but when things are at their most hectic, it helps to remember that you're not the only one trying to keep up. Everyone is working and attending school, some from far away and some work 3 jobs. We're all just trying to manage and survive through it all. Leaning on people around you, opening up, and being honest about where you are at can be super beneficial.
3. Try new things
Okay so obviously your time is a little tighter, but use that to your advantage. try something new, that might also count as a class or be good for your CV. Push yourself into new adventures because they might help you discover a new passion, career path, etc. and this is the time to find it!
4. Balance
This is going too sound very odd right after "Try new things" but if you know you have three exams coming up, maybe skip this week's boys night, then again if you have a week that is lower in work, then be sure to plan something fun and freeing
Honestly, today has been a horrible school day, so this blog is so tough to publish right now, but staying on your game is really helpful. It can be exhausting but it's so much more exhausting to be constantly keeping up when you're behind.
Keep pushing my gems it'll be done and over before we know it we will be out in the working world!!!
